Pan-Canadian AI Compute Environment
Thanks to new investments by the Government of Canada, CIFAR, Amii, Mila and the Vector Institute are working with the Digital Research Alliance of Canada and partners and host sites across the country to develop and deploy a new national computing platform dedicated to AI research. The first installation is expected in the spring of 2023.

Synthetic Data for Health Symposium
CIFAR, IVADO and Mila held a symposium featuring Canadian and international experts to address the opportunities and challenges around the use and deployment of synthetic data in healthcare. Following the symposium, a call for proposals resulted in four catalyst grants for collaborative projects using synthetic data for better health research in Canada.
AI4Health Task Force
A CIFAR-convened national roundtable of leaders in AI and health innovation debated Canada's opportunities to advance AI for health. A strong consensus emerged: if we act quickly, Canada can become a world leader in the development and adoption of AI-based approaches to health and healthcare.
