About

Ebrahim Bagheri’s research lies at the intersection of information retrieval, natural language processing, and responsible AI. He develops computational methods to extract, represent, and generate knowledge from large, complex text corpora. A central focus of his work is retrieval-augmented generation, which couples large language models with knowledge sources to improve their factuality, interpretability, and robustness.

He also designs evaluation frameworks to assess fairness, bias, and reliability in generative AI systems, with applications in scientific discovery, social media analytics, and automated reasoning.

Ultimately, Bagheri’s research emphasizes transparency and accountability. He advances models and tools that provide interpretable explanations to support trustworthy decision-making in high-stakes contexts.
