Faustina Twumwaa Gyimah
About
Faustina is a doctoral candidate in Development Studies at the Institute of Statistical, Social, and Economic Research at the University of Ghana. She has received comprehensive training and supervision to conduct a study on maternity protection. Faustina is deeply committed to contributing to the development of Sub-Saharan Africa through her teaching, research, and policy-making. Her research interests encompass a wide range of areas, including education, social protection, gender equality, maternal health, implementation science, monitoring and evaluation, as well as infectious and non-infectious diseases. Recently, Faustina was a visiting research fellow at the Center for Effective Global Action at the University of California, Berkeley. While there, she had the privilege of receiving mentorship and research training from renowned economists and CEGA affiliates representing various universities across the United States. As a result, Faustina is equipped to guide and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in Ghana, empowering them to enhance their research and leadership skills.
