About
Jon crafts engaging stories for traditional and social media to spread the word about CIFAR’s people and activities.
Prior to joining CIFAR, Jon was a Program Coordinator at the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, where he organized conferences and started a YouTube series featuring visiting mathematicians.
After his interdisciplinary undergraduate degree in Arts & Science at McMaster University, he completed an MSc in Science Communication & Public Engagement at the University of Edinburgh and subsequently worked creating science content at several British science organizations, including the Edinburgh Science Festival, the Science Museum, and the Royal Institution of Great Britain.
