About

Keshab Basnet is a prospect development professional with over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, specializing in strategic fundraising, donor analytics and engagement. As Senior Prospect Development Specialist at CIFAR, he supports philanthropic strategy through data-driven research and portfolio insights, moving management practices that strengthen donor relationships and fundraising performance.

Prior to joining CIFAR, Keshab played a key role at Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Canada, where he led prospect research and engagement initiatives supporting major gift, corporate and foundation fundraising efforts in advancing global humanitarian programming.

Keshab brings a collaborative and analytical approach to his work, with expertise in prospect identification, capacity assessment, data mining and strategic portfolio development. He holds a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and a Fundraising Management Certificate from Humber College, Toronto.
