Le programme Apprentissage automatique, apprentissage biologique du CIFAR met \u00e0 profit la neuroscience et l&rsquo;informatique pour \u00e9tudier comment le cerveau et les syst\u00e8mes artificiels acqui\u00e8rent leur intelligence par l&rsquo;apprentissage. La m\u00e9thode fondamentale du programme &#8211; qui revisite des questions de fond plut\u00f4t que de se concentrer sur des avanc\u00e9es technologiques \u00e0 court terme &#8211; offre le double avantage d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer la conception technique des machines intelligentes et d&rsquo;approfondir notre compr\u00e9hension de l&rsquo;intelligence humaine.<\/p>\n\t<h4>P\u00d4LES D&rsquo;IMPACT<\/h4>\n<p>Le programme Apprentissage automatique, apprentissage biologique fait partie des p\u00f4les d&rsquo;impact suivants du CIFAR\u00a0:\u00a0D\u00e9coder les cerveaux et donn\u00e9es complexes et Explorer les technologies \u00e9mergentes.\u00a0Les programmes de recherche du CIFAR s&rsquo;articulent autour de cinq <a href=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/fr\/poles-dimpact\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">p\u00f4les d&rsquo;impact<\/a> distincts qui traitent de grandes questions d&rsquo;envergure mondiale et visent \u00e0 favoriser un environnement propice \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9mergence de perc\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>POINTS FORTS DE LA RECHERCHE ET DE L&rsquo;IMPACT SOCI\u00c9TAL<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Oeuvrer en partenariat pour l&rsquo;avancement de la recherche en intelligence artificielle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le programme Apprentissage automatique, apprentissage biologique du CIFAR entretient un partenariat avec Inria, l&rsquo;Institut national de recherche en sciences et technologies du num\u00e9rique de la France. Tout comme le CIFAR, Inria encourage la prise de risque scientifique et l&rsquo;interdisciplinarit\u00e9, et les deux organisations sont des leaders en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9veloppement de nouvelles m\u00e9thodes en apprentissage automatique et en IA.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/unsupervised_icml2012_cat_and_face.png\" alt=\"optimal stimuli\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"280\" width=\"565\" title=\"unsupervised_icml2012_cat_and_face\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\tComment Google voit-il votre chat et vous-m\u00eame? Ces \u00ab stimulations optimales \u00bb pour des visages de chats et d&rsquo;humains d\u00e9coulent de l&rsquo;entra\u00eenement d&rsquo;un r\u00e9seau d&rsquo;apprentissage profond \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de plus de dix millions d&rsquo;images.\n\t<strong>Mieux comprendre le cerveau par l&rsquo;IA\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/fr\/biographie\/blake-richards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blake Richards<\/a> (Universit\u00e9 McGill, Mila), membre du CIFAR, et <a href=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/fr\/biographie\/joel-zylberberg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joel Zylberberg<\/a> (Universit\u00e9 York), membre auxiliaire du CIFAR, ont anim\u00e9 un atelier avec des sp\u00e9cialistes du milieu universitaire, de l&rsquo;industrie et d&rsquo;organisations \u00e0 but non lucratif afin de discuter de l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle, de la port\u00e9e, des cas d&rsquo;utilisation, des structures organisationnelles et du financement n\u00e9cessaires pour cr\u00e9er des mod\u00e8les de neurofondation par la mise \u00e0 profit des progr\u00e8s r\u00e9cents de l&rsquo;IA en vue de mieux comprendre le cerveau. Il est possible d&rsquo;adapter \u00e0 de nouvelles t\u00e2ches ces mod\u00e8les d&rsquo;apprentissage automatique \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, pr\u00e9entra\u00een\u00e9s avec de grandes quantit\u00e9s de donn\u00e9es, \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de quantit\u00e9s relativement faibles de nouvelles donn\u00e9es d&rsquo;entra\u00eenement et de puissance de calcul; ces mod\u00e8les pourraient \u00e9ventuellement servir \u00e0 la fois les communaut\u00e9s de la neuroscience et de la neurotechnologie, tout en \u00e9tant utiles \u00e0 la recherche en apprentissage automatique.\n<strong>Combler le foss\u00e9 entre l&rsquo;apprentissage automatique et l&rsquo;intelligence humaine<\/strong><br \/>\nLe groupe de recherche de <a href=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/fr\/biographie\/yoshua-bengio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yoshua Bengio<\/a> (IVADO, titulaire de chaire en IA Canada-CIFAR \u00e0 Mila, Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al), coresponsable du programme, formule de nouvelles th\u00e9ories visant \u00e0 combler le foss\u00e9 entre les techniques actuelles d&rsquo;apprentissage automatique et l&rsquo;intelligence humaine. Par l&rsquo;\u00e9tude des biais inductifs exploit\u00e9s par les humains et les animaux, les membres du CIFAR pr\u00e9cisent les principes cens\u00e9s guider l&rsquo;intelligence humaine et animale qui pourraient aussi inspirer la recherche en IA et la neuroscience.
