Par l\u2019entremise du programme OpenScope, lanc\u00e9 par l\u2019Institut Allen le 26\u00a0juillet, des chercheurs du monde entier peuvent faire une demande pour r\u00e9aliser leurs propres exp\u00e9riences \u00e0 l\u2019observatoire.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">OpenScope se base sur des observatoires astronomiques communs qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 le si\u00e8ge de d\u00e9couvertes importantes sur l\u2019univers physique.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u00ab\u00a0Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un nouvel observatoire du cerveau, nous souhaitons faire la m\u00eame chose en neuroscience. Ce que nous faisons ici n\u2019a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 fait auparavant\u00a0\u00bb, dit Christof Koch, scientifique en chef et pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019Institut de neurosciences Allen. \u00ab\u00a0Plut\u00f4t que de scruter l\u2019obscurit\u00e9 de l\u2019espace, nous tournons notre regard vers le cerveau, et nous le faisons d\u2019une fa\u00e7on telle \u00e0 ce que les donn\u00e9es sont fiables, statistiquement valides et ouvertement accessibles.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">OpenScope permettra aux chercheurs du monde entier d\u2019avoir acc\u00e8s aux installations de l\u2019Institut Allen pour \u00e9tudier l\u2019activit\u00e9 de centaines de milliers de neurones dans le cortex visuel d\u2019une souris.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apprentissage profond dans le cerveau humain?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Une \u00e9quipe de chercheurs du CIFAR a propos\u00e9 l\u2019un des premiers projets OpenScope. Ce projet vise \u00e0 comprendre comment les diff\u00e9rentes r\u00e9gions c\u00e9r\u00e9brales coordonnent l\u2019apprentissage dans le syst\u00e8me visuel et comment les principes de l\u2019apprentissage profond \u00e9manant de la communaut\u00e9 de l\u2019intelligence artificielle pourraient avoir des parall\u00e8les dans le cerveau des mammif\u00e8res. Le projet mise sur des <a href=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/news\/news\/2017\/12\/05\/neurons-have-the-right-shape-for-deep-learning\">recherches ant\u00e9rieures<\/a>\u00a0sur le potentiel de l\u2019apprentissage profond dans le cerveau humain r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par la v\u00e9rification exp\u00e9rimentale de principes th\u00e9oriques.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/fr\/biographie\/joel-zylberberg\/\">Joel Zylberberg<\/a> (Universit\u00e9 du Colorado), Chercheur mondial CIFAR-Azrieli, pilote le projet. Voici les deux autres projets en cours\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Sonder la r\u00e9action du cerveau \u00e0 des films pertinents sur le plan biologique\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0Examiner comment l\u2019exp\u00e9rience et l\u2019anticipation influencent la fa\u00e7on dont le cerveau repr\u00e9sente l\u2019information \u00e0 l\u2019aide de voies sp\u00e9cifiques\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Actuellement, l\u2019observatoire se penche sur le syst\u00e8me visuel de la souris. Dans leurs exp\u00e9riences, les chercheurs montrent aux rongeurs diff\u00e9rents films ou images, et enregistrent l\u2019activit\u00e9 cellulaire dans six r\u00e9gions diff\u00e9rentes du cortex visuel de l\u2019animal.
