Dans des domaines tels que les sciences de la vie, l\u2019automatisation industrielle, les environnements virtuels et les soins de sant\u00e9, les titulaires de chaires en IA Canada-CIFAR sont \u00e0 la t\u00eate de jeunes pousses et d\u2019entreprises qui transforment la recherche de pointe en outils, produits et plateformes d\u2019envergure mondiale.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le CIFAR explore le travail de certains de ces nombreux talents qui contribuent \u00e0 l\u2019essor de l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me canadien gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des applications concr\u00e8tes et \u00e0 fort impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>IA adaptative pour les industries<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Martha White et Adam White; Amii, Universit\u00e9 de l\u2019Alberta<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Titulaires de chaire en IA Canada-CIFAR<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/fr\/biographie\/martha-white\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Martha White<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> et <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/fr\/biographie\/adam-white\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adam White<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ont cofond\u00e9 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/rlcore.ai\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RL CORE<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> qui utilise l\u2019apprentissage par renforcement dans les processus de contr\u00f4le industriels afin de permettre l\u2019automatisation et l\u2019adaptation de leur d\u00e9ploiement. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une analyse en temps r\u00e9el, les processus de l\u2019usine sont continuellement adapt\u00e9s afin d\u2019optimiser les op\u00e9rations, ce qui lib\u00e8re le personnel et lui permet de se concentrer sur la maintenance et les interventions d\u2019urgence. Le produit a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 avec succ\u00e8s dans trois usines de traitement de l\u2019eau et des eaux us\u00e9es en Alberta et en Colombie-Britannique.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la recherche en sciences de la vie<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Marc Bellemare; Mila, Universit\u00e9 McGill\u00a0<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Titulaire de chaire en IA Canada-CIFAR<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/fr\/biographie\/marc-g-bellemare\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marc Bellemare<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a cofond\u00e9 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reliant.ai\/fr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reliant AI<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> pour rationaliser et am\u00e9liorer le processus fastidieux des revues de litt\u00e9rature, des analyses concurrentielles et d\u2019autres \u00e9tudes. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un grand mod\u00e8le de langue, Tabular, son produit phare, exploite un mod\u00e8le de langue sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 pour r\u00e9duire de 85 % le temps consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019analyse documentaire, ce qui permet d\u2019obtenir de l\u2019information plus pouss\u00e9e de la revue de litt\u00e9rature, de l\u2019analyse concurrentielle ou autres. Le mod\u00e8le est sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7u pour les sciences de la vie, ce qui augmente la pr\u00e9cision et la pertinence des donn\u00e9es extraites. Le travail de Marc Bellemare avec Reliant AI pourrait transformer les approches scientifiques des processus de recherche, en permettant de prendre de meilleures d\u00e9cisions fond\u00e9es sur des donn\u00e9es et de rationaliser le travail.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Cr\u00e9er des mondes virtuels<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Sanja Fidler; Institut Vecteur, Universit\u00e9 de Toronto<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Titulaire de chaire en IA Canada-CIFAR<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/fr\/biographie\/sanja-fidler\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sanja Fidler<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> est vice-pr\u00e9sidente de la recherche en IA de NVIDIA et directrice du <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/research.nvidia.com\/labs\/toronto-ai\/#about\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NVIDIA Spatial Intelligence Lab<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Toronto. Son travail combine l\u2019apprentissage automatique, la vision par ordinateur et l\u2019infographie dans des applications pour les domaines de la robotique, des voitures autonomes, des jeux vid\u00e9o et du divertissement. Son laboratoire se concentre principalement sur la cr\u00e9ation de mondes virtuels et de simulations tr\u00e8s r\u00e9alistes \u00e0 l\u2019aide de l\u2019IA et de la physique. Les d\u00e9veloppeurs et d\u00e9veloppeuses d\u2019IA g\u00e9n\u00e9rative physique peuvent ainsi entra\u00eener et tester leurs mod\u00e8les en mode simulation, ce qui acc\u00e9l\u00e8re consid\u00e9rablement le cycle de vie d\u2019un projet, du d\u00e9veloppement \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Stimuler la d\u00e9couverte de m\u00e9dicaments<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Bo Wang; Institut Vecteur, Universit\u00e9 de Toronto<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Titulaire de chaire en IA Canada-CIFAR<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cifar.ca\/fr\/biographie\/bo-wang\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bo Wang<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a r\u00e9cemment joint les rangs de <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xaira.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Xaira Therapeutics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00e0 titre de vice-pr\u00e9sident principal et chef de l\u2019IA biom\u00e9dicale. Il apporte \u00e0 l\u2019entreprise son expertise dans le domaine de la recherche biom\u00e9dicale bas\u00e9e sur l\u2019IA afin de mieux comprendre les bases mol\u00e9culaires des maladies difficiles \u00e0 traiter et d\u2019associer de nouveaux traitements aux patients les plus susceptibles d\u2019y r\u00e9pondre.
