About

Abeer is an award-winning journalist and digital communications professional who is passionate about innovative and equitable storytelling. She has spent much of her early career working in digital production and social media at notable Canadian newsrooms and magazines, including The Walrus and the Toronto Star. Abeer loves social media and believes in its crucial power to inform audiences about complex issues impacting their day-to-day lives. She holds a degree in journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University.
