Who is it for?

This course is for anyone who wants to know what artificial intelligence is, understand how it works, and learn more about it. There are no prerequisites.

Who are the partners?

Destination AI was developed in partnership with Institut Montaigne, OpenClassrooms and Fondation Abeona.

This course was adapted for Canadian audiences in French and English with the support of CIFAR under the Pan-Canadian Artificial Intelligence Strategy.

Learn more about the Pan-Canadian AI Strategy at CIFAR, which advances AI research, training and innovation across Canada in partnership with the Government of Canada and our three national AI Institutes: Amii in Edmonton, Mila in Montréal, and the Vector Institute in Toronto.

How does it work?

The course is taken online, at whatever pace works best for you. You will learn through both written text and videos, with occasional pop-up quizzes.

How long does it take?

The expected duration to complete the course is about 4-5 hours total. You can break this up into sections and watch them at whatever pace works best for you.

What will I learn?

You will learn about:

  • What AI really is (and what it’s not!).
  • The impact of artificial intelligence on the workplace and on society as a whole.
  • Go behind the scenes of an artificial intelligence project and get familiar with concepts like deep learning and machine learning.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes! At the completion of the course you will receive a link to download a personalized Open Classrooms certificate of achievement.
