About

Over his career as an economist, Philippe Aghion has researched a variety of topics, including contract theory.

With Peter Howitt, he pioneered what is known as the Schumpeterian Growth paradigm, which was subsequently used to analyze the design of growth policies and the role of the state in the growth process. His recent research focuses on innovation, governance and economic growth.
