About
Azin is responsible for supporting CIFAR’s research partnerships strategy and initiatives, working to increase international partnership opportunities and managing their implementation and stewardship. She also manages CIFAR’s Catalyst Fund grants.
Prior to joining CIFAR, Azin was a Manager of Research Programs at the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU). She managed a suite of research infrastructure programs and Ontario-based research institutes, managed relations with the ministry’s research fund advisory board and supported the research security policy and implementation strategy.
Before the MCU, she held various policy advisor positions at the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade and FedDev Ontario.
Azin holds a Master of Applied Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Economics and Political Science from the University of Toronto.
