About
Eva Jablonka is a theorist and geneticist who favours Lamarckian modes of evolution. She is considered as one of the world’s foremost experts in epigenetic inheritance and evolution and has authored numerous papers and books on the subject. In her 2008 paper Soft inheritance: Challenging the modern synthesis, she proposes that neo-Darwinism does not offer a satisfactory theoretical framework for evolutionary biology. She concludes that Lamarckian and saltational processes have an important role in evolution.
