About
Ibukun Abejirinde is an applied health researcher who works with policymakers, patients, community organizations, and researchers to find practical solutions to real-world problems. Specifically, she focuses on innovative healthcare models and how they impact health equity and strengthen health systems.
She holds the position of Scientist, Learning Health Systems at the Institute for Better Health, Trillium Health Partners. In this role, she is working to advance the science and practice of community-driven learning health systems and what this means for building healthier communities. She is an AMS Healthcare Fellow in Compassion and AI, leading a study to understand how immigrants and refugees to Canada experience virtual care and what is needed to ensure it is more responsive to users’ needs.
Abejirinde’s ultimate goal is to improve access to high-quality care for everyone, when and where it is needed.
