About
Rosella’s research program focuses on data and analytics to improve population health. She aims to support meaningful health system change to improve sustainability and equity using new data science methods to multi-linked population data. Her team specializes in developing and validating prediction models to inform the most impactful strategies to improve health. They partner with decision-makers and practitioners for real-world impact. Using novel data sources and methods, their models incorporate the complex interplay of social, economic, environmental, and biological factors that affect systems, communities, and individuals. Rosella holds a Canada Research Chair in Population Health Analytics, the Stephen Family Chair in Community Health at the Institute of Better Health, Trillium Health Partners, and several leadership positions focused on building AI and data science capacity for health in Canada. She has authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications and has presented at over 100 national and international conferences.
