Receptionist

About

Maureen Blackler has been the Receptionist at CIFAR since 2020. She was born and raised on a farm in southwestern Ontario but has called Toronto home since 1989.

She trained as an early childhood educator at Toronto Metropolitan University and worked at several daycares but then found herself drifting more into administrative roles. Maureen enjoyed working at Plan International Canada, the Canadian Film Centre and Autodesk, to name a few organizations. She has always been great at being a “helper” in the office and has learned so much about so many organizations through the years. She learns something new every day at CIFAR and she loves being in a setting where science rules!
