About
Rachel has a PhD in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara where she studied science policy and high-tech investments such as nanotechnology in China.
Rachel holds a BA in Sociology from Brandeis University and an MSc in the Management of Non-Governmental Organizations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is co-editor of the Routledge published book Can Technologies Make a Difference in Development and co-author of Polity Press book Innovation in China: Challenging the Global Science and Technology System.
