CIFAR EDI + Research Excellence Module

smaller line

CIFAR is committed to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) as outlined in our EDI Action Plan and our endorsement of the Government of Canada’s Dimensions Charter.

We are excited to launch a new module that invites CIFAR’s community to consider how expanding our definition of research excellence can enrich CIFAR’s programs by including a wider range of researchers and perspectives. Bringing together talented scholars from various backgrounds, communities, and experiences can lead to better science, ultimately extending CIFAR’s reach and impact. Equity, diversity, and inclusion go hand-in-hand with high-quality research.

The module was created by CIFAR, in partnership with Dr. Andrea Mariko Grant, postdoctoral fellow at the University of Victoria. Feedback on the content was obtained from a representative group of CIFAR community members, including program Co-Directors, Fellows, Canada CIFAR AI Chairs, Board members, members of the Research Council and staff.

The module takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
