CIFAR recognized for its 2023 REACH magazine and Nurturing a Resilient Earth series.

CIFAR is pleased to share that it has been recognized with two IABC/Toronto OVATION Awards. The IABC/Toronto OVATION Awards celebrate the pinnacle of communication excellence in the Greater Toronto Area.

CIFAR’s Nurturing a Resilient Earth series has received an Award of Excellence in the Non-profit Campaigns category. The series, released in fall 2023, highlights the role CIFAR’s research community is playing in navigating the realities of climate change so that our global society can continue to thrive. The series profiles six CIFAR researchers across disciplines and geographies, showcasing the innovative ways they’re tackling one of the greatest challenges of our time, and launches a call to action to support their work through the Resilient Earth Fund. CIFAR thanks all those who donated to the fund. To learn more about the important work being done and to donate, visit cifar.ca/resilient-earth.

CIFAR also received an Award of Merit in the Publications category for its 2023 edition of REACH Magazine. Last year’s issue explored the future of research, with notable stories on what artificial intelligence could look like 40 years from now and how quantum will change the world. REACH’s 2024 issue will be published in June.

The IABC/Toronto OVATION Awards have celebrated communication excellence in the Greater Toronto Area for 39 years.
