CIFAR recognized with two CPRS ACE Awards for communications excellence

CIFAR has now received four awards total for its Nurturing a Resilient Earth campaign and its 2023 edition of REACH magazine

CIFAR is pleased to share that it has been recognized with two Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) Achieving Communications Excellence (ACE) Awards. 

The CPRS ACE Awards recognize outstanding work in public relations and strategic communications, as judged by some of the industry’s most accomplished leaders. For over 20 years, the awards have celebrated Toronto’s talented and innovative public relations community. 

CIFAR’s Nurturing a Resilient Earth series won in the Best Cause-related Campaign category for 2024. The series, released in fall 2023, highlights the many ways CIFAR’s research community is addressing the global threat of climate change. The series profiles six CIFAR researchers across disciplines and geographies, showcasing their work tackling one of the greatest challenges of our time. The campaign included a call to action to support their work through the Resilient Earth Fund. CIFAR thanks all those who donated to the fund. CIFAR also won the Best Publication category for its 2023 edition of REACH Magazine. Last year’s issue explored “The Future of Research, Today,” with notable stories on what artificial intelligence could look like 40 years from now, what the end of the Universe could look like, and the revolutionary potential of quantum computing. REACH’s 2024 issue, focused on the brain, will be published in June.

CIFAR has been recognized with four awards for its campaign and magazine. In April, the organization was honoured with two IABC/Toronto OVATION Awards.
