“I’m thrilled and honoured to take on this role during such a pivotal time for the organization,” said Rawji. “CIFAR’s new Strategy sets an exciting course for addressing global challenges and driving impact in Canada and around the world. I look forward to working with the Board and leadership to drive this bold vision forward to ensure we achieve our pinnacle aspiration.”
“Irfhan brings deep experience in leadership and an unwavering commitment to innovation. We are thrilled to have his insights and expertise at the helm during an exciting time of renewal for CIFAR,” said Stephen Toope, President & CEO of CIFAR, who also extended heartfelt thanks to outgoing Chair Bill Young.
“Bill has been a steadfast leader during his time as Chair, helping to strengthen CIFAR’s mission and global impact. His contributions since joining in 2014 have been invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for his service. I am delighted that he will remain a member of our Board.”
