About
Salonie works as a senior coordinator at SEWA Cooperative Federation. She leads the research team, the communications team and contributes to the overall vision of the organization as part of senior management.
Salonie has also been leading the work on digital inclusion, focusing on developing ways to sustainably include informal women workers and their cooperatives in the digital economy. She works with local, national and international partners to design, develop and create platforms sustainable for informal women workers. She also advocates with public and private sector institutions with best practices for digital inclusion of informal workers and their cooperatives/collective enterprises, particularly for gender-responsive procurement.
In the past, Salonie has worked at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM, Ahmedabad) and in the research department of the International Labour Organisation (ILO, Geneva).
