On March 16, 2022, The Verge published an article about hallucinogenic trips and how drugs affect the brain. Danilo Bzdok, Canada CIFAR AI Chair and the author of the study, linked common keywords from each individual’s trip to different areas of the brain, identifying commonalities between certain drugs and emotional responses. The research could have potential implications for psychiatric treatment of mental illnesses.
