CIFAR supporters show that changing the world for the better begins with addressing the most challenging questions.

They understand the importance of bold ideas, and for 40 years they have supported research that transforms the world — from launching a revolution in AI, to changing how we think about human health and the critical early years. CIFAR supporters, including Canada Life, Gerald Heffernan, Richard and Donna Ivey, the Ivey Foundation, Michael and Sonja Koerner, Magna International, the Max Bell Foundation, Bruce Mitchell, Larry and Judy Tanenbaum, and the R. Howard Webster Foundation have demonstrated curiosity and a commitment to creating lasting change for society…for decades. In fact, this group of donors has given for an average of 28 years EACH!

During CIFAR’s 40th anniversary celebrations, this past year, we recognized many of our donors and highlighted their critical support of research — accelerating discovery across borders and disciplines. While no one can predict the future, we are confident that our donor community will continue to humble us with their far-reaching insight, curiosity and ambitious vision.

For that enlightened support, from all of us at CIFAR, thank you.
